Kardos Lajos - Pléh Csaba - Marton L. Magda (szerk.): Problems of information processing and perceptual organization (Budapest, 1978)

РЮШ OF iramon PROOS Í1G ADD room оотюп Editor-in-Chief: L. Kardos This volume is the first to present a selection of recent Hungarian psychological studies to the English reader. The articles report researches on perceptual processes. The study of perception, especially that of visual perception, has always been one of the main fields of experimental psychology in Hungary. It is characteristic of the studies presented here that they combine a cognitive psychological approach with elaborate psychophysiological methods and concepts. The authors regard perception as the result of a series of coding processes. At the same time, however, they want to go beyond the mere description of these coding processes, towards their explanation in terms of physiological mechanisms. AKADÉMIAI KIADÓ BUDAPEST
