Kedves Miklós: Palynological studies on Hungarian early tertiary deposits (Budapest, 1969)

M. KEDVES PALYNOLOGICAL STUDIES ON HUNGARIAN EARLY TERTIARY DEPOSITS This comprehensive work is the first qualitative and quantitative investigation into the Eocene pollen and spores from Hungary. The plant microfossils are assigned to extant taxa wherever possible and for each taxon both the plant micro- and macrofossil occurrences within Hungary are listed, in addition a short ecological and paleobotanical evaluation is given. The sporomorph assemblages are analyzed according to geographical areas, with special emphasis being placed on the reconstruction of the brown coal vegetation. A survey based primarily on the paleobotanical considerations of the vegetational data, completes the volume. Paleobotanical, botanical and geological research institutions will find this book most helpful. AKADÉMIAI KIADÓ PUBLISHING HOUSE OF THE HUNGARIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES BUDAPEST
