Kelemen Endre: Physical diagnosis of acute abdominal diseases and injuries (Budapest, 1964)

E. KELEMEN PHYSICAL DIAGNOSIS OF ACUTE ABDOMINAL DISEASES AND INJURIES The book deals with methods of physical examination and diagnosis of the abdomen, primarily concerning acute abdominal conditions. The author’s basic principle is that diagnosis can be performed using physical examination without laboratory and instrumental aids. This novel approach characterizes this book and supplies valuable information concerning the most serious problems in the recognition of acute abdominal conditions in medical practice. The treatment of this subject stresses the fact that circumspect physical examination relying on anamnesis can always perform a diagnosis of acute abdominal alterations, at least as far as the establishment of correct therapy is concerned.
