Kisbocskói L. - Szabó Á. (szerk.): 4. Conference on Fluid Machinery. Proceedings - Proceedings of Conference on Fluid Machinery 4. (Budapest, 1972)

PROCEEDINGS OF THE FOURTH CONFERENCE ON FLUID MACHINERY Budapest, 11 — 16 September 1972 edited by L. Kisbocskói and Á. Szabó This volume contains the complete lecture material presented by the most famous representatives of the field of fluid machinery at the traditional Budapest scientific meeting. 102 papers have been submitted from 16 countries to report on the recent activity and the latest research results in the sphere of fluid mechanics and machinery. The most important branches of this widely ramified area are the theoretical and practical problems of turbines (gas-, steam- and hydro-), those of pumps and ventilators, cascade theory and boundary layer problems in dimensioning and the questions of cavitation. Water hammer and vibration problems of pipelines and ducts are also discussed. Some papers report on the latest results obtained with turbine type flowmeters, with hydrodynamic torque converters and reversible axial flow pumps, etc. Beyond the themes referred to above, the papers forecast the further development of this important professional field.
