Kisbocskói L. - Szabó Á. (szerk.): Proceedings of the Third Conference on fluid mechanics and fluid machinery - Proceedings of Conference on Fluid Machinery 3. (Budapest, 1969)

This volume is intended to contain the complete lecture material presented by the most famous representatives of the field of fluid mechanics, at the traditional Budapest scientific meeting. A total of about 100 papers have been submitted from as many as 14 countries to report on the recent activity and the latest research results in the scope of fluid mechanics and machinery. The most important branches of this widely ramified area are the theoretical and practical problems of hydroturbines and those of pumps, lattice theory and boundary layer problems in dimensioning, and the questions of cavitation. Vibration problems of pipelines and ducts, and the problems of hydraulic material handling will also be discussed. Some papers report on the latest results obtained with special hydraulic machines, sealings, positive displacement or piston pumps, and various hydrostatic facilities. Beyond the features referred to above, the papers forecast the further development trend of this important professional field.
