Lissák Kálmán: The neuroendocrine control of adaptation (Budapest, 1965)

К. LISSÁK-E. ENDRŐCZI THE NEUROENDOCRINE CONTROL OF ADAPTATION The results of researches conducted at the Pécs Institute of Physiology in the field of neuroendocrine changes under normal and pathological conditions in the human organism are summarized in this book. The authors discuss the neural and humoral control of the function of the hypophysis and suprarenal cortex. They report the discovery, during their experiments, of the existence of a complex stimulating and inhibitory mechanism which is ostm important in the functional control of the hypophysis and suprarenal cortex. The ontogenesis, morphology and biochemistry of the hypophysis and suprarenal cortex and their connection with other endocrine systems are also treated.
