Mázor László: Analytical chemistry of organic halogen compounds (Budapest, 1975)

L. MAZOR ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY OF ORGANIC HALOGEN COMPOUNDS Organic halogen compounds are important chemicals in the manufacturing of drugs, insecticides and plant-protecting agents. The book deals with the main features of the production and chemical reactions of these compounds. The detection and quantitative determination of organic fluorine-, chlorine-, bromine- and iodine compounds are described, using chemical and instrumental analytical methods. The qualitative and quantitative analytical chemistry of the fluorine compounds is presented. Possible sources of interference and the problems of determining several halogen compounds in the presence of one another are described. An appendix tabulates about 1000 organic halogen compounds giving their physical properties and constants which are required for the identification of the substances.
