PROGRESS IN PEPTIC ULCER Ed. by Gy. Mózsik and T. Jávor The 3rd Conference on Experimental Ulcer was held at Parádfürdő as a satellite meeting of the 10th European Congress of Gastroenterology and the 3rd European Congress of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Outstanding scientists from 15 countries took part in this meeting in order to debate the current problems of ulcers and to exchange views. The subjects were divided into four sections and a total of 51 papers discussed the aggressive and defensive factors of peptic ulceration. Papers dealing with human problems were also presented at the conference. The well-illustrated volume contains the discussions of the papers, too and it is recommended for physiologists, biochemists, pharmacologists, internists as well as for surgeons.
