Ökrös Sándor: The heredity of papillary patterns (Budapest, 1965)
S. Ökrös THE HEREDITY OF PAPILLARY PATTERNS The author has established some hereditary regularities of papillary patterns by his new method of cellophanedactylograms used in examining 100 cases of indisputable paternity. His most important conclusions are drawn from his experiments in having established that the fingerprint patterns of each homologous finger of the child bears the marks (minutiae) of the parents. These maternal and paternal minutiae are clearly recognizable on the homologous fingers of the child and so its parentage, i.e. both its mother and father can be definitely determined. The described daetyloseopical method has been tested and successfully used in 1600 paternity law suits. AKADÉMIAI KIADÓ PUBLISHING HOUSE OF THE HUNGARIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES BUDAPEST V.
