Palkovits Miklós: Karyometric investigations (Budapest, 1968)
M. PALKOVITS — J. FISCHER KARYOMETRIC INVESTIGATIONS This work is the fiist to summarize problems and results of karyometry, a branch of quantitative histology. Karyometry has for its subject the evaluation of cell nucleus populations, making use of biometric methods in describing nucleus samples under observation. Besides a detailed enumeration of the literature, the authors also present a number of their own results. Beyond reporting on the widely differing views and techniques prevailing at present, a uniform, upto-date treatment is aimed at. Corresponding to the statistical points a separate mathematical part is inserted for those wishing to use karyometric methods without a profound knowledge of mathematical tools. The survey by organs of the results obtained with these methods is to serve as a basis for future research. I AKADÉMIAI KIADÓ PUBLISHING HOUSE OF THE HUNGARIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES BUDAPEST
