Rényi-Vámos Ferenc: Anuria. Therapeutic experiences (Budapest, 1972)

AKADÉMIAI KIADÓ PUBLISHING HOUSE OF THE HUNGARIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES Budapest ANURIA THERAPEUTIC EXPERIENCES I ЬУ ERényi Vámos • A Babies This monograph on acute renal failure summarises with remarkable clarity the experiences of two distinguished Hun- I garian nephrologists and their colleagues in an acute dialysis unit over a period of five years. It is well written and factual and contains much material previously only available in Hungarian medical journals. Some original experimental work, especially on the distribution of nitrogenous substances in the tissues and on experimental kidney infections, is included. Considerable attention is paid to the clinical problems of management of acute renal failure in a wide variety of situations with many illustrative examples. Anuria is one of the central problems of nephrology: the authors of this monograph have succeeded in illuminating the complexities of the problem and have contributed in some measure to its solution.
