Sík THE HISTORY OF BLACK AFRICA Vols III, IV In the first two volumes of his com­prehensive historical work published in three languages (English, French and Hungarian) the author dealt with the history of the countries of Black Africa up to the outbreak of World War II. The present, third, and the following fourth, volumes analyze the situation of those coun­tries in the years of World War II and describe the post-war disintegration of the African colonial empires and the emergence of the independent states of Black Africa. The work cites shocking facts to illustrate the in­dependence struggle of African peoples and the ruthless police terror, the policies of aggression and prov­ocation of the colonial powers trying to retain their African positions.
