Tagja az MTA BTK TTI „Lendület” Szent Korona Kutatócsoportnak és a „Lendület” Középkori Magyar Gazdaságtörténet Kutatócsoportnak. Közép- és újkori pénztörténetet oktat az Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetemen és a Szegedi Tudományegyetemen. Fő kutatási területe a magyar pénztörténet a kezdetektől napjainkig, különös tekintettel a középkori Magyar Királyság pénzverésére és pénzforgalmára. A Numizmatikai Közlöny és a Folia Archaeologica szerkesztője. Graduated in Archaeology from ELTE in 1996 and gained a PhD in History (Archaeology) in 2002. Member of the ‘Lendület’ Holy Crown Research Group and the ‘Lendület’ Medieval Hungarian Economic History Research Group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Research Centre for the Humanities, Institute of History. Teaches medieval and early modern monetary history at the Eötvös Loránd University and the University of Szeged. Main research area is Hungarian monetary history from earliest times to the present, and particularly coinage and monetary circulation in the medieval Kingdom of Hungary. Editor for the journals Numizmatikai Közlöny and Folia Archaeologica. KISS József Géza • D. Phys, PhD, CSc, Dr. med. habil • fizikus, audiológus, közgazdász • physicist, audiologist, economist • tudományos tanácsadó (Szegedi Tudományegyetem) • scientific consultant (University of Szeged) Első diplomáját a József Attila Tudományegyetemen 1977-ben szerezte fizikából. 1979-ben doktorált biofizikából (PhD fokozat). 1996-ban lett az orvostudomány kandidátusa (CSc fokozat). 1998-ban habilitált az elméleti orvostudomány területén hallás élettanból. 1999-ben közgazdász diplomát szerzett. Vezető oktató számos magyar és külföldi egyetem különböző karain. 1992-től PhD-kurzus témavezető. Több mint kétszáz publikáció szerzője, társszerzője. 2010-től a Magyar Éremgyűjtők Egyesülete Csongrád Megyei Szervezetének elnöke, valamint a Magyar Numizmatikai Társaság alelnöke. Számos magyar és nemzetközi tudományos társaság vezetőségi és elnökségi tagja. Szerkesztője a magyar modern kori pénzek katalógusainak. Numizmatikai tevékenységének fő területe a középkori magyar pénzverés és pénztörténet. Az orvosi és természettudományos folyóiratok mellett az Acta Numizmatika Hungarica és a Koinon nemzetközi numizmatikai folyóiratok szerkesztőbizottságának is tagja. Primarily graduated in physics in 1977 at the Attila József University, Szeged. Aquired the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from biophysics in 1979. He got scientific level ‘Candidate of Medical Sciences’ degree in 1996. He became a ‘Habilitated Doctor’ in the field of Auditory Physiology in 1998. In 1999 the Master Degree of Economy was acquired. He is key lecturer at many faculties of Hungarian and foreign universities. Since 1992 he has been a tutor of PhD programmes. Author and co-author of more than two hundred publications. He is a leader and staff member of several Hungarian and international scientific societies. He became the Chairman of the Hungarian Coin Collectors’ Society of Csongrád County and the co-president of the Hungarian Numismatics Society. He is a specialist editor of catalogues of Hungarian modern ages coins. His main numismatic interest is Hungarian coin ages and the history of Middle Age coins. Beside being the member of the editorial staff of several medical and natural scientific journals, he is also a member of the editorial board of the Acta Numismatica Hungarica’ and the ‘Koinon, the International Journal of Classical Numismatic Studies. 368
